This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was a Flemish Baroque painter and diplomat, renowned for his remarkable contributions to art during the Counter-Reformation era. Born in Siegen, Germany, Rubens' family returned to Antwerp, Belgium, when he was a child.
Rubens received a comprehensive education and began his artistic career as an apprentice to various prominent artists. He later traveled to Italy, where he absorbed the influences of Renaissance and Baroque masters, including Titian and Michelangelo, which greatly impacted his style.
His artistic talent and intellect led him to serve as a diplomat for various European courts, including those of Spain and England. Despite his diplomatic roles, Rubens remained prolific as a painter, and his workshop produced an extensive body of work that covered a wide range of subjects, from religious and mythological scenes to portraits and landscapes.
